If you have ever ventured into a hike for a mile or more , then you might know about blisters, or hot spots that can make a hiking trip miserable. I have used mole skin and it works well , and lately i have been backpacking with several younger hikers and my mole skin kits are all used up it seems so I tried duct tape on a friend . I read about using duct tape in Backpacker Magazine years ago and never really thought much about it until last year when my mole skin kit was kinda oldy and no goody , so i looked to my walking sticks where i keep a wrap of duct tape at hand wrapped around the shaft for shoe or nylon repairs. I used some on a hot spot on the heel of a friend and he never did develope a true blister,.so maybe there is something to the duct tape blister kit after all.
