Between a Rock and a Hard Place by Aron Ralston. This is the auto-biographical story of the guy who cut off his own arm to escape being trapped beneath a boulder. This is a real-life survival story. He also talks of his other adventures in the outdoors and the path that led him to be an outdoorsman. Definately a book for arm-chair adventurers and those looking for some inspiration to go try something new. Tad"pole"

Ironically, I saw this at Books-a-Million just a couple hours ago. I was killing some time there and the cover of a guy with an ice-pick looking arm caught my eye. Dang, what a story that is...hard to top that one around the campfire.
Glad you joined the message board...I live right down the road from you in Augusta, GA. Keep in touch if you ever need a trail partner.
