There once was a boy who went to visit his uncle in the backwoods. The first morning he was there, his uncle fixed a big breakfast. The boy noticed that his plate had a greasy film on it. "Uncle, I think my plate is dirty," complained the boy. "That's as clean as cold water can get it," replied the uncle. That same day at lunch the boy noticed little bits of egg from breakfast still stuck to his plate. "Uncle, this plate is dirty," proclaimed the boy. "That's as clean as cold water can get it," repeated the uncle. That afternoon, the uncle had to go into town. The boy and is uncle walked toward the truck when the uncle's dog started jumping on the boy. "Uncle, help!" yelled the boy. And the uncle said, "Sit, Coldwater, sit!"
