I will be doing a 28 miler in the Smokies , april 22nd thru the 24th. Going to trek much of the sixers, (6000 ft and above). I have permits to camp at the shelters already reserved. This is a serious trek , what i mean is the first day will cover 12 to 13 miles, second day 10 miles, third day 5 miles. This will be a kicker if you know what I mean. If interested please contact me here at this forum or at refrigeratorkid@wmconnect.com This time of year in the Smokies will be unpredictable and you need to be totally prepared for anything. Also , food cache is a must on this trip. Bears are abundant in and around the sixers.

Frig, looking at my schedule, I can't make it work. I'm pretty much stuck to weekend hiking right now. Wish I could.
