Sounds like fun-I'll have to track you down on Saturday. What I'll do is park at Grayson and do a hike thru the bottom and come up and find you guys up on top. That way I should loose a few pounds before I arrive, I hope.

I plan on camping on top some where between Thomas Knob and Rodo Gap. Friday night. I hope there is good fire wood. Calmspirits loves the fire.
Have you herd from WhiteDove? She sent me an E card and was telling me she has had some computer problems but that was 3 weeks ago.
Alaska trip got bumped, I was lucky to exchange the trip with the outfitter for next year with only a 2% increase in price. My Dad was hospitolized monday right after I seen you in Damascus.
Hey Man!! You want to do Alaska next year with us?
approx $4000.00 with flight to and from Alaska, and a bush pilot to drop off and pickup, with 2 nights in a Cabin. Approx/ 12 days, 8 days on the trail, 2 nights in a cabin, and travel time.

First Night 11th, plan is to camp near the Pine Mt spring . second night somewhere between ThomasKnob and Rodo Gap. lots of camp sites along the At in this area.
a couple of springs in the area are well kept and plently of flow.
anyone comming i got a surprise treat planned , HOT PEACH COBBLER , home made right on the trail. Just can't figure out how to get ice creme to stay frozen for 2 days!!!

Sorry to hear about your dad. I hope he's doing OK.
I'll have to pass on that Alaska trip. Sounds like a hell of a trip though.

Okay here's the deal ///// I should be at scales by noon on thursday and at the pine mt. trail spring by 2pm. I will set up camp just up from the spring along the pine Mt. Trail headed to Rodo Gap. I should be easy to find. I will be just in the tree line looking at the spring.
Next day , Pack up headed to Rodo Gap and Wilburn Ridge. Camp some where between Thomas Knob shelter and Rodo Gap pine Mt intersection.

I'll be there sat afternoon sometime depending on when I get out of here.
I'm going to park at and hike in from Grindstone campground. I'll come up to the top from the Pine Mt side. I think the spring you are talking about is right there, I saw some tents right in the woods line the last time I was there when I saw you in Damascus.
