www.fs.fed.us/r9/mnf/rec/rec_index.shtmlThis is a very unique area...I recommend checking out the link above and learing about the "glades" area. Monongahela National Forest offers an outstanding backcountry experience for backpackers, trout fishermen, or those interested in a unique bog eco-system within the forest.

This area is wild. I love this area and have been hiking the Cranberries for 20 years now. I do a trip and sometimes two a year. I also have a nice souviner on my left leg approx 8 inces above my ankle , 6 inches long,,yep a nice scar from a Black Bear. MiddleFork Williams River Trail and Big Beechy Trail. I was camped there at the intersection in the pines. If you would ever like too trek the Cranberry, please feel free to contact me, I know it Well. I have spent many miles off trail along some of of the many streams Trout Fishing and found some awesome historical finds, as well as some of the best Native trout areas in the Wilderness Area.
