I use something similiar to this very simple design. It's a potted meat can with holes punched around the top lip using a thumb-tack....I have it rigged to fit inside a windscreen/pot rest. When dealing with alcohol stoves, you don't have to get all that technical. However, two things to keep in mind are: wind & temperature.
