They are no longer in production from what I understand and retailed upwards of $150 but I got them for under $30. Awesome pair of hiking boots in my humble opinion. Feels like I'm wearing house shoes they're so comfortable.

Sounds like a great buy. Vasque makes a good boot, I'm on/in my third pair now. My first were Clarions and the last two were Sundowneres. Vasque at one time were all Itallian made but now only the top of the line Sundowners are, the rest are now made in Japan or China. At one time they were having quality control problems with the one's made in Japan. This may have been worked out since it's been awhile since I've heard or read of any problems.
