How many of you pack Crazy Creek chairs? What's your method of straping them to your pack?

You won't find many thru hikers carrying those. If they start out with them they'll be shipped back home when they get to Neels Gap. That will be one of the first items they will recommend be shipped home if you let them tuckerize your pack at the store there. Take a plastic trash bag to lay on the ground and use your pack to lay against. You can also use the bag to protect your sleeping bag or anything else that might need extra protection.
They're fine for weekend hiking. You should be able to put it under the straps of your pack hood.
I have two of those but use them to cushion my old butt when canoeing.

I packed a crazy creek on an at hike over mlk day. I used it as a sleeping pad (bad choice). The half-length didnt cushion or insulate my legs in the subzero artic blast environment of n. ga. It's bulky, and the only way i was able to get it on my pack is because i own a gregory which has an exorbient amount of excess strap. It was good to have a nice place to relax after a long day. I was able to make my ramen and easy-mac without moving around much which was very cool. They are definately a lighter weight summer option. But, if you're going car camping, might as well take a camp chair. I'll still take though because it's easier to strap on than a camp chair for backpacking and it also serves as a pad, but only in warm weather.

I use the thermarest type you use your pad with. Light weight too. I didn't think the seat would be comfortable, but I was wrong. I use mine at base camps during the winter the most.
They do make a one pound 3 leg seat that folds up for backpacking. I have seen this just a week ago. When I get the web site i will send it too you.
