1 cup quick oats 1 cup whole wheat flour 1 1/2 cup brown sugar 1 1/4 cup butter or margarine 1 cup white flour 2/3 cup wheat germ 5 eggs 2 cups almomds 1 1/2 cup choc, chips 1/2 cup chopped dates 2/3 cup shredded coconut 1/2 cup chopped fruit you like 4 teaspoons grated orange peel (spice) Preheat oven to 350 Melt butter or margarine with 1 CUP brown sugar. ( I use the micro) Stir in oats, wheat flour, white flour, wheat germ, orange peel. Put this mixture into the bottom of an ungreased 9x13 pan. Press mixture evenly. Combine eggs, almonds, chocolate chips, dates, your favorite chopped fruit, coconut, and the remaining 1/2 cup brown sugar. Put this mixture over the already mixture you have in the pan. Pour butter mixture evenly on top BAKE 30- 35 MINUTES, and let cool before cutting into bars. NOTE**** You can always modify this with peanut butter chips, different fruits and nuts, etc...
