8-)NORTH FORK MOUNTAIN TRAIL, West Virginia, 24 miles long on top of the World. Voted by Outside Magazine as Trail of the year. Awesome views.
Second best will be the ever increasing populated Shenandoah Nat'l Park Appalachian Trail thru the entire Park. I have done this Trek 6 times in the past 12 years. 105 miles plus or take a mile or two.
Third best, Mt Rogers recreation area where I live, The appalachian Trail section.
Fourth best, The Gauley River in West Virginia from Summersville Dam too the town of Gauley and then from there up the New river too the Big Bridge. Awesome fishing, scenery. I do this trip at least once every 3 yers for the past 20 years.

I'll have to say the Georgia AT is my favorite. Although the trails on Isle Royale in Lake Superior are a close second.
